Privacy Policy
Last updated on March 2, 2026. The Ink & Embers Kitchen does not offer user accounts and does not collect personal data directly. We do use cookies and third-party services to improve your experience.
Our Quiet Corner of the Internet
Just like finding a perfectly preserved recipe in an old cookbook, we value transparency about how we handle things here. This bit is about how your information is used on this site.
What We Gather (and Why)
We collect very little beyond the basics needed to make the site work. If you choose to leave a comment or subscribe to our occasional newsletter, we’ll ask for your name and email address. This is simply to connect with you, inform you about new posts, and keep our little community humming along. We don’t need to know your grandmother’s secret biscuit recipe, just what helps us share ours.
Cookies & Crumbs
Like the little crumbs left on a well-loved recipe card, our site uses ‘cookies’. These are small files stored on your computer that help us understand how people use the site – what pages are popular, how long folks stick around. It helps us make things better for you. You can always adjust your browser settings to decline cookies, but some parts of the site might feel a little less smooth.
Sharing Your Details? Never.
Your email and any personal details you share with us are just for us. We will never sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information to outside parties. Your privacy is as important to us as a perfectly proofed sourdough. We’re not in the business of sharing what’s not ours.
Third-Party Tasters
Sometimes, we might use services from others – for example, how our site is hosted, or for basic analytics. These trusted partners only have access to your information to perform these tasks for us and are obligated to keep it confidential. They don’t get to peek at your personal details any more than we do.
Got Questions?
If you have any questions about this privacy policy, just like you’d ask a neighbor for a cup of sugar, feel free to reach out. You can find our contact information on the ‘About’ page. We’re happy to chat.
